Room in the Inn

Room In The Inn provides food and shelter for up to 225 people each night in over 150 area congregations from November 1st to March 31st. Our church has been involved in this ministry for many years and believes that we meet Christ in the lives and dreams of those who Christ called "...the least of these."

Every Monday night, beginning the first Monday in November, we take our church bus to the Campus for Human Development building on 8th Ave. and pick up 12 men needing a place to stay for the night. We then feed these guys a hot meal, provide a warm place to sleep, and offer the opportunity for them to take a hot shower, do some laundry, and get a haircut. This happens week after week through March.

Room in the Inn is a program that requires the support of many people. We draw heavily on the help of volunteers to cook meals, do laundry, cut hair, and spend the night with our guests. None of the tasks are especially difficult -- they simply require a willingness to give some time to those in need.

Please take a moment to think about how you might be able to assist with this important project in our church. And please pray, that those who are helped will experience Christ in our service, and that we may experience the presence of Christ in the lives of our guests.
